The Experts Behind Lee County Plumbing
Troy Lanz
CEO
Troy began his career in 1985, working for an HVAC and plumbing contractor, where he delivered parts and supplies to employees on job sites. He worked his way through the ranks, in several different capacities learning the trade from top to bottom. He wanted more, though. His passion for great customer service shaped his vision for starting his own business.
In 2002, Troy made the commitment and opened his first business, Lanz Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, Inc. He started with himself, and one part-time employee. His strong work ethic and focus quickly paid off. Troy continued to increase business as well as the number of employees. In November 2018 Troypurchased Lee County Plumbing, Inc. Troy’s work ethic and strong Christian values continue to impact those around him. Troy is very active in his church, and local nonprofits, and has taken many mission trips to offer help and share his faith with those in need. Troy and his wife Kathleen have five children and two Grandchildren. Troy’s hobbies include traveling, boating, and perfecting his skills on the grill and smoker.

Michael and his wife have lived in Lee County for 16 years and feel blessed to be raising their son in such a wonderful community that boasts unparalleled weather and such a diverse locale. When he is not working, Michael can be found completing projects on the family farm or angling the Gulf waters with his family.
Born in Long Island, New York but raised in Southwest Florida, Michael has a deep appreciation for the area and a passion for bringing the best services to all the homeowners and builders that call the region home. His work in the construction industry began at age 17 when he signed on as a plumber’s apprentice with the goal of simply paying for his car insurance. He would have never guessed that his summer job would lead to a lifelong career, but he would not change a thing looking back.
Having over 20 years in the trade, Michael prides himself on being able to quickly identify quality and efficient processes. He's passionate about providing a level of service that far surpasses the standard, thanks to his familiarization with nearly every aspect of the building industry. His high expectations paired with extensive knowledge and background experience make him a leader in the field, and those who work with him respect his expertise and work diligently to meet his standards. His outgoing and personable demeanor combined with a tireless work ethic help him to build and sustain confident, professional, and friendly relationships with clients.
Don't let our company name fool you! While based out of Lee County, Michael has proudly serviced clients throughout all of Southwest Florida — from the Florida Keys to Sarasota — since 2000.
Christopher Van Note
Custom Homes and Remodel Manager
Christopher Van Note is a Florida local, born at the first hospital in Fort Myers and raised in Lehigh Acres, he is very connected to the community and is familiar with everything essential and abstract to the area. He currently occupies the role of New Construction Manager for Lee County Services. He resides in the delightful, solar-powered city, of Babcock Ranch with his wife, Sarah, and their children.
Chris developed his unyielding work ethic young after starting his first job at the ripe age of 13. He proceeded to take his first steps into the plumbing industry at the age of 19, not knowing it would lead him, diving head-first, toward a lifelong career. With the perfect amount of guidance and an abundance of self-determination, he began to flourish in his career and perfected his trade.
At the beginning of his plumbing career, Chris was a plumbing apprentice with no knowledge. Since then, he has broadened the scope of his expertise to include residential construction, commercial construction, and service plumbing. He manages the new construction projects at this point in his career and oversees all our field staff and operations. He is responsible for setting job timeline expectations, managing and coaching plumbers and apprentices, and serving as a liaison between contractors, field employees, and administrative staff. He enjoys creatively solving problems to serve our customers, as well as solving any internal issues to maintain an enjoyable work environment for all of his employees.
When not working on projects in the office or helping out in the field, Chris loves to spend his free time making memories with his family, watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys, suiting up on Sundays, throwing out some lines, and fishing the beautiful fresh and salt waters of SWFL, or teeing-off with friends while trying to stay as under-par as possible, on the many exquisite golf courses in this sunny paradise.
